As a parent, I see the changes and progress my child has made during his time on campus over the past year. I am very happy and thankful for this. I would like to thank Huili School Nantong for its strong management system, the teachers for their feedback in the classroom, the boarding staff for their patience and guidance for Simon. In the boarding house, I have become more disciplined and more caring towards others’ feelings. I learned a lot of things, like what teamwork really is, what hard work really is, what cooperation really is. Come on, you can do it too!
The boarding house helps pupils develop self-management, responsibility, and independence, and lays solid academic foundations in an immersive English environment. This week, the full boarding program officially launched, which includes staying in school during the weekend. Pupils in Grade 6 and above can apply to participate in the full boarding program.
Unlike regular weekly boarding, pupils participating in the full boarding program will stay on campus for roughly three weekends a month. On Saturdays, with the support of teachers, pupils can continuously improve their academic levels whilst participating in a variety of holistic educational courses and projects. On Sundays, a variety of colorful study tours provide pupils with rich opportunities to explore and learn in the surrounding area. Boarding pupils will also have more time and opportunities for one-on-one communication and consultation with our university counsellor.
Our off-site activities might include (but not limited to)
Trips to Nantong museums / cultural sites / theme parks etc.
Sporting events
Trips to downtown Nantong – bowling / karting / archery etc.
Camping / BBQ / hiking / horse riding
Community service
Full boarders also participate in our Weekend Academy
which includs (Opened and planned):
Academic support – IETLS / mathematics
Sports – swimming / football / table tennis / archery / triathlon / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / horse riding / sailing
Creative pursuits – master oil painting / life drawing & modelling / cartoon animation / baking
On-site Activities include (but not limited to)
Leadership and life skills training
Pupil organized activities - board games / movie night / karaoke
Gym, library, swimming pool, sports hall, football pitch and social center
