School Bus

We will provide dedicated school buses for primary and secondary school pupils as well as special school buses for Nursery pupils, which meets national standards. Each bus has a school bus monitor who is responsible for pupils’ safety and wellbeing during the journey. We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable ride for all children. Pupils from Huili School Nantong and Huili Nursery Nantong (EY2 and above) are eligible to apply for our school bus service.

Huili School’s Services Department have arranged routes for the addresses of pupils who have requested the school bus service. The routes have been determined and approved by the Traffic Police Battalion and the Education Department. Every effort will be made to secure a bus place for each pupil, however they are not guaranteed. Bus routes cannot be altered throughout the school year.

General terms

1.The school provides a school bus, a weekend bus and an intercity shuttle bus service. The school bus service is for day pupils. The weekend bus service is exclusive for pupils who take the Wellington Academy Programme. The intercity shuttle bus service is for boarding pupils who travel to and from other cities each week. These services are collectively referred to as the 'Bus service'.

2.Pupils who attend weekend academy can apply for the weekend bus service. The weekend bus application will start when applying for the weekend Academy. The weekend bus service will only be offered if the minimum number is met.

3.Boarders can apply for the intercity bus service (at the moment, Nantong-Shanghai bus service is available).
The intercity bus fee is collected by semester.  

4.To apply for a place on a school bus, families need to apply in the EDU365 app. Early registration is encouraged to ensure seat(s) are available for pupils and to ensure that the school bus services can arrange the routes to meet pupils’ need. In May or June each year, the school will send out the school bus request survey for next academic year. Based on the information received on the school bus application forms, the school will plan the school bus route rationally and communicate with families about the possibility of providing a school bus, stop information and pick-up and drop-off times. Bus routes cannot be altered throughout the school year once they are approved by the traffic management department due to the government regulations. Every effort will be made to secure a bus place for a pupil; however it is not guaranteed. The school reserves the right to withdraw access to the bus service for any pupil or parents who do not comply with the terms and conditions of this policy.

Bus fee

1.The school bus fee is RMB 19,800 per year and the intercity bus fee is RMB 14,400.

2.If there are seats available on the school bus, we will also accept applications for one-way journeys. The cost of the one-way bus service is half of the normal cost, which is RMB 9,900 per year. 

3.At the beginning of the semester, the bus fee will be charged by full semester. After the semester starts, the bus fee will be charged on a pro-rata basis from the starting date of the service.

4.Fees will not be refunded for single/multi cancellation of bus service due to personal reasons.

5.Fees will be funded for the days when service is suspended due to weather or school adjustment, or class isolation. 

6.To request cancellation of school bus service, please send an email to services.wccn@huilieducation.cn with the date of cancellation. 

7.Fees will be refunded proportionally as of the actual cancellation date, the refund will be settled at the end of semester for those who cancel during semester; after the offboarding process for those who apply to leave.

Communication method

1.E-mail is used as the main form of communication with parents where the School Bus Services can be reached. The official e-mail address is services.wccn@huilieducation.cn

2.Education 365 School Bus platform – this push only messaging system is managed by the School Bus Services where parents will be notified in situations such as a bus breakdown, unexpected delay, emergencies etc.
