Look back at the 2023-2024 academic year, the pupils of Hiba School Nantong excelled in various competitions, including academic, sports, arts and music. They won 119 awards from global and national competitions. At the same time, credit to the holistic education offering, quality teaching and learning, world class facilities, and supportive community, Hiba School Nantong ranked for the first time in the 2024 Forbes China Top 100 Bilingual schools Annual Selection, positioning itself at the forefront of China's international education market. Hiba School Nantong created an environment that nurtures student growth. In the national level competition "Super Dance Student," our students won first place with their dance piece "Growing in the Sun," standing out among 240 performances. Recently, at the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship, our pupil David competed fiercely with teams from 42 countries, winning four awards and claiming the individual championship in the CREATE Junior Robotics U.S. Open.
Our steps this year have been powerful. In the 2023-2024 academic year, Hiba School Nantong pupils achieved outstanding results in multiple math competitions. They won 31 medals in the Australian Mathematics Competition, 10 medals in the 2024 Kangaroo Mathematics Challenge, and 10 medals in the 2024 UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge. Our pupils have shown exceptional talent in various competitions, demonstrating their passion for mathematics.
Teachers are the driving forces behind these achievements. In writing training courses, humanities and social sciences teachers emphasize the principle of "content is king, quality first." In the second Hiba Cup Writing Contest held in China by Wellington, Hiba School Nantong students won six awards, nearly half of the 13 submitted papers. On May 19, 2024, the World Scholar's Cup Suzhou Regional Round, officially supported by Yale University. 12 students from Hiba School Nantong won a total of 43 medals. In the "Battle of the Books" competition, our pupils from Canada (Julian), Brazil (Barbara), and New Zealand (Zion), among others were awarded.
Hiba School Nantong is dedicated to creating diverse athletic programmes to develop robust, well-rounded, and integral young individuals. This year, achievements in sports competitions have been outstanding. Under the guidance of physical education teachers, Hiba School Nantong pupils excelled in the Shanghai Sports League, winning five medals, showcasing unlimited potential.
