What are the activities for Friendship Week?
To build a harmonious and mutually beneficial platform for cultural exchange and to highlight the school's international and multicultural atmosphere, Hiba Academy Nantong organised a vibrant "Friendship Week." This week's well-planned activities encompassed various aspects of art, social interaction, and cuisine, allowing pupils to deepen their understanding of different cultures in a joyful atmosphere, thereby enhancing their friendships.
Pupils from all grades actively participated by creating numerous exquisite friendship-themed posters during Friendship Week. These posters were not only full of creativity but also profoundly expressed the pupils' understanding and value of friendship. After the competition, outstanding works were exhibited in the school, attracting many pupils and teachers to appreciate them. To help pupils get to know each other and make friends quickly, the school organised a "Quick Friends" activity. Pupils were randomly grouped and given a limited time to interact through fun exchanges , which brought countless laughs and new friendships. During the "Food for Friends " event, pupils prepared and shared traditional food from different countries. This deepened their bonds and experienced culinary cultures from diverse backgrounds.
The highlight of Friendship Week was Odd Sock Day, which encouraged pupils
to wear different and interesting socks to express their individuality. Pupils proudly showcased their unique socks, filling the campus with laughter and creativity.
"Even though the children come from different countries with different culture, they still forge deep friendships," said Paul Latheron, the event organizer, with a smile. This Friendship Week was well-received across the school, with pupils enhancing their understanding and friendships through various activities. The school hopes that such events will foster students' teamwork spirit and social skills, allowing the seeds of friendship to take root and form a more harmonious and loving learning environment.
