What grade levels will open and how do you determine which grade level a child should enroll in?

In September 2023, Huili Nursery Nantong will run from Early Years 2 through to Early Years 4 and Huili School Nantong will run from Grade 1 through to Grade 8. Furthermore,our High School will be opening a Pre A-level course in Grade 10.

 

In line with relevant policies and regulations, pupils are allocated their grade level strictly according to their date of birth. Please refer to the chart below to determine which grade your child should apply for. In certain circumstances a child can apply for a different grade level, subject to approval from the education bureau and the Master. Please contact the admissions department for further information.

 

Each academic year, a child will be placed according to their age:

 

 

Boarding will be available for children entering Grade 1 and above.

 

After completing their Nursery journey (and subject to the education bureau’s lottery policy), children can move into Huili School Nantong, where they start their primary school journey from Grade 1. Primary school in Huili School Nantong runs from Grade 1 to Grade 6. After primary school, children enter Junior High, which covers Grades 7 to 9. In Grade 9, children begin an important transition year, because in Grade 10 they will undertake the IGCSE examinations. After IGCSE, Huili pupils will complete their A Levels, graduating in Grade 12 well prepared to enter the best universities around the world.
