Huili School Nantong 2023 Summer Camp

Two weeks ago, a group of young people from all over the country gathered at Huili School Nantong to attend a summer camp together. During the past two weeks, they made new friends, learned new things, and did a lot of exercise. In this fulfilling summer camp, every different experience led to personal growth. Many wonderful moments happened in the twelve days, let's delve into every corner of the campus to review this colourful time. 

Swimming Pool 

On scorching summer days, how can we miss the refreshing swimming lessons. In the rippling pool, the pupils bravely swam forward, enjoying the cool feeling of the water hitting their bodies. While enjoying the fun of swimming in a pool with professional competition standards, the pupils also improved their physical fitness and swimming skills. 

Sports is not just in the pool, but also in the sports hall where pupils are full of vitality. Basketball, badminton, archery, cricket... The fully functional sports hall provides many unique ways for pupils to enjoy exercising.

"Wow, this laboratory is amazing! It must be cool to do experiments here!" was the feeling of many pupils who visited the science laboratory for the first time. Science is a subject that requires practice, and a well-equipped classroom is more helpful for pupils to vividly understand various scientific principles. Through various magical experimental phenomena, they glimpse the charm of this course, and thus step into the universe of scientific exploration. 

As well as science, the children have also participated in Lego robots, drama, debating and public speaking. The rich and colourful curriculum not only covers science, technology, engineering, and other aspects, but also includes culture, art, and social aspects. Through relevant courses, pupils broaden their horizons and discover their potential. With strong hardware support, the gains and learning of pupils in these classes are also more profound. 

In this summer camp, there are many pupils from lower grades, even some who are staying away from home for the first time. Their amazing adaptability and growth have made everyone feel relieved. During their stay, they quickly learned how to get along with roommates, how to manage their personal belongings, and how to actively seek solutions when encountering difficulties. In this summer camp, they not only gained knowledge but also valuable experiences of living independently and facing challenges. The rare boarding life has fully exercised their independence, helped them learn to respect each other and accept differences. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Time flies, and the opening ceremony on 3rd July seems like just yesterday. Today, all the teachers and pupils participating in the summer camp gathered at theatre again to celebrate the children’s learning achievements.

During the opening ceremony, the pupils on the theatre stage were still strangers to each other, but today, the pupils standing on the stage were like close friends. Their perfectly coordinated performance made the whole theatre shine!

Although the summer camp lasted for less than two weeks, we saw changes in every pupil. We hope that this summer camp can leave a shining memory for them and leave a deep mark on their future growth path. Teachers are now looking forward to opening the curtain of the second summer camp with the pupils once again. They believe that in the second camp, they can continue to help pupils feel the concept of holistic education, allowing the potential of individual life to develop freely, fully, comprehensively, and harmoniously, and create more beautiful memories together.

Age:Grades 1 – 8 (Ages 6 - 14)
