It’s the beginning of the New Year, and we are delighted to bring further news of excellent university offers for Wellington College China pupils in the early rounds of applications. Wellingtonians continue to achieve success in every possible field with outstanding offers from some of the most prestigious global universities, with positive results so far from a staggering five out of the top 10 ranked institutions in both the UK and US (based on the QS World Rankings 2022).

The decisions so far received have also come from some of the most traditionally competitive programmes around the world, including Architecture, Law, Engineering, Economics, Maths and Physics. Successful decisions have also been received from some of the world's top arts schools and colleges.

With many decisions still to come from the regular round of applications in the US and UK as well as from destinations in Europe, Singapore and Australia, it is already set to be an incredibly successful year.

Many of our 2021 Wellington College China pupils were courted by the world's top universities. Almost 30% received at least one offer from a top 10 University. Nearly 40% received offers from a top 20 University. Nearly 70% of these pupils received offers from the world's top 50 universities.

This is a new record for Wellington College China, achieving an unprecedented number of applications to Oxford, Cambridge, Ivy League and G5 super-elite universities in the UK.

The range of success achieved, from the traditional academic courses offered at Oxford and Cambridge to the more selective programmes offered by specialist institutions devoted to the performing and visual arts, is a fitting testament to Wellington College China's holistic education provision.

This is why we look forward to sharing with parents all of the opportunities for success available to the children at Huili School Nantong. On 3 March, we will host a live online session in which parents will get to meet our school management team, discuss our bilingual education philosophy, and ask any other questions they may have about what they can expect for their children at Huili School Nantong.

Mr Simon Kenworthy, Master of Huili School Nantong; Ms Suisui Yu, Principal; and Mr Jamie Plunkett, Head of Primary will explain what makes Huili School Nantong unique and discuss all of the advantages it will provide your children. They will also explain how Huili School Nantong will integrate the Chinese national curriculum with the essence of the Western curriculum in a completely bilingual learning environment, preparing young Chinese nationals for a successful future as well-rounded citizens of the world.
