Farewell to the hot and unrestrained summer! This week, classmates gathered again on our beautiful campus, pushed open the door of the new academic year together, and started a brand-new journey of learning.
Looking back at our first academic year, we witnessed the amazing growth of Huili pupils: their focus and dedication in academic pursuits, their positivity and enthusiasm in self-exploration, and their cooperation and communication skills in interpersonal relationships, leaving a magnificent chapter in the previous academic year. In the new academic year, we hope that these qualities can once again flourish. Just as Mr Simon Kenworthy (Master of Huili School Nantong) mentioned in his opening speech, "I hope that every Huili pupil can continue to pursue excellence, challenge themselves, and achieve their potential during this new academic year."
We are also pleased to welcome the first batch of Grade 10 pupils who are about to embark on their important high school journey at Huili and strive to gain entry to their dream university worldwide. We have created a bespoke Pre A-Level course for Grade 10 pupils which will be led by our Principal, Ms Suisui Yu. It provides pupils with a more solid and stable development platform and builds a strong academic foundation for them to apply to their chosen universities. At the same time, the rich and diverse academic system and open and inclusive environment provide them with a continuous source of growth energy, helping to cultivate a passion for lifelong learning, self-drive, and critical thinking.
Another highlight of the new academic year is the implementation of the full boarding programme. The main difference from the weekly boarding programme is that pupils can stay on campus for roughly three weekends each month. They will receive comprehensive academic support on Saturdays and can participate in a variety of holistic education courses and projects. On Sundays, pupils will participate in a variety of enriching study tours and venture out of the campus to explore the surrounding areas for learning. They can also have longer one-to-one communication and interaction with our university counsellor.
